Matching individual applications to the licenses later issued to the same person, the middle half of successful applicants took 79 to 172 days from TREC receiving their application to holding a license. Licenses lapse more than you'd think

86,355 Texas real estate licenses sit expired-less-than-six-months right now — people who finished the courses, passed the exam, paid the fees, and then let it go. Renewal discipline is part of the job; no school's marketing page mentions it.
